How McNaught Writing Started:
The idea of McNaught Writing came from the desire to do something more, something that I had dreamed about for quite sometime. The thought of getting to work from anywhere in the world, the thought of getting to choose my hours. I also know I work better for salary instead of a wage.
I have always been a head strong individual that loves a good challenge. It just so happens that this is the challenge I have been looking for my whole life.
The challenge isn’t writing itself. It is putting myself out there, putting myself into the dark unknown and trusting that I have the strength and will power to get myself through to the other side.
For so many it is hard to speak up, it is hard to chase the dreams we so deeply desire and in some cases we can’t even imagine telling our closest friends and family what these dreams are. I know these people exist not because they told me (trust me they wouldn’t tell me) but because I have been one of them for far too long. The day I started working towards my dreams it was like something inside of me grew, as if I started to discover who was hiding in my skin for the first time.
Maybe it was the life that rolled out in front of me, it sucked me dry of all the happiness. I think that needed to happen. Fore we need to experience the darkness before we can truly experience the light. I know I read that somewhere, but I can’t seem to recall where.
We can make our dreams happen if we take one tiny step out of our shell everyday. That’s all you need to do. Don’t focus on the big picture, just focus on one step at a time, one stair in the right direction. Together we can make our dreams come true.
